Disagree? Then edit. And include a rationale.

Drone Tracking vs. Webbing
If a target being engaged by (non-sentry) drones is webbed, those drones will hit less often and do less damage.

Bug or Not? Not

Rationale: The rationale here is that the drones' tracking numbers were figured based on their orbit speeds and ranges. Since they're just simple, unfrozen cavemen lawyers (or robotic war machines, either one), they don't properly adjust for a target that's webbed and end up with a freakishly-high transversal for a greater part of the orbit.

Solution: Even if it's not a bug, it's a pain. If you're solo, don't web things your drones are killing. If you're in a group, don't worry about it.

Ethnic Relations
The Ethnic Relations skill has no effect beyond Level 1. Ethnic Relations I allows 100% membership of other races in a corporation.

Bug or Not? Bug

Solution: If you're honest (or smart, just in case they fix it?), you'll train Ethnic Relations to a level suitable to maintain your corporation's membership. If you're not, you'll only train it to Level 1.

Will it be fixed? Dunno. But since there's no way to query or display "non-race" members of corporations, and because there are bigger fish to fry, I'd guess not.

Tactical Shield Manipulation
Tactical Shield Manipulation IV works as intended, reducing shield "leak" when the shield is below 25%. Given the paper-esque quality of Caldari hulls, this is a good thing. However, Tactical Shield Manipulation V ends up cancelling any effects from this skill. This is a bad thing.

Bug or Not? Bug (Reportedly fixed on the test server.)

Solution: Don't train Tactical Shield Manipulation V. Astute and ambitious readers will note one gaping, giant problem with that plan.

Will it be fixed? Dunno. People have been complaining about it for ages. There's a giant problem with saying "don't train TSMV." And yet, the bug still exists. So make your own judgement. If they fix Ethnic Relations before they fix this, there will be a riot.

Update 20-Aug-2007 This has been confirmed as a bug by CCP and supposedly is fixed on the test server. Quote by CCP Nozh: Yeah I fixed this a couple of weeks ago, will go out with next static update to TQ.

Interdictors
Training the Interdictors skill reduces the cycle time on Interdiction Sphere Launchers. In practice, this sounds like a good thing. Until you realize that the cycle time on the Sphere Launcher is less than the expiration time on the Sphere, that NOT using autorepeat causes the module to lock out for a complete cycle, and that having multiple spheres on the same grid causes NONE of them to function. The result, you can't keep a gate bubbled 100% of the time anymore, and the problem is actually exacerbated by high levels of the Interdictors skill.

Bug or Not? Bug

Solution: Fit two Interdiction Sphere Launchers. If fitting two 100-CPU modules on a hull that typically has around 300 CPU (and that's only on the Flycatcher) sounds like your idea of fun, then, by all means, think this is an adequate workaround.

Will it be fixed? Dunno. Another glaring problem that's been completely ignored on the forum whines and petition queues. Instead, we get terrible POS Combat revisions live on SiSi.

High Sec POS Standings
Faction standings for a corporation are only checked when a POS structure is put online. As a result, if, after onlining a POS, the faction standings fall below what would normally be required to erect a high-sec POS, there will be no effect to the POS as long as none of the modules are offlined.

Bug or Not? Bug (Though more technically, kind of an exploit.)

Will it be fixed? Dunno. If it does get fixed, lots of high-sec POSes will be affected.

Skill Clones
The terms skill clone and med clone are interchangeable. You'll need to remember that if you read other guides or forum posts.

The skill clone is your backup copy of yourself. If you get shot down (and you will get shot down), you end up in your pod. If that pod gets shot down (you get podded), then you will end up in your skill clone.

Moving your skill clone incurs a fee, usually 5600 ISK, or something trivial.

You must keep your skill clone updated, or you risk losing skill points.

Jump Clones
Jump clones are also copies of yourself. These let you quickly jump from one part of the galaxy to another instantly. No matter where your jump clone is located.

You can never have two jump clones at the same location. You will lose a clone. Since these take time and ISK to set up, losing them is bad. Not only can you not have two jump clones in the same location, you cannot create a situation where you would accidentally put two jump clones in the same station.

Creating Jump Clones
TODO: Fill this in.

Scenarios
Suppose you have two jump clones, and skill clone, and a body.

# Body (station A)
# Skill Clone (station B)
# Jump Clone 1 (station C)
# Jump Clone 2 (station D)

Scenario: Undock from station A and get podded. Your soul travels to your skill clone. Your body is dead.

# empty
# Body (station B)
# Jump Clone 1 (station C)
# Jump Clone 2 (station D)

Before you even consider undocking, buy a new skill clone.

# Skill Clone (station B)
# Body (station B)
# Jump Clone 1 (station C)
# Jump Clone 2 (station D)

2
# Body (station A)
# Skill Clone (station B)
# Jump Clone 1 (station C)
# Jump Clone 2 (station D)

Scenario: Clone jump to station C. Your "body" and your "jump clone" trade places.

# Jump Clone 1 (station A)
# Skill Clone (station B)
# Body (station C)
# Jump Clone 2 (station D)

3
# Body (station A)
# Skill Clone (station B)
# Jump Clone 1 (station C)
# Jump Clone 2 (station D)

Scenario: Pilot to station C.

# Body (station C)
# Skill Clone (station B)
# Jump Clone 1 (station C)
# Jump Clone 2 (station D)

Scenario: Attempt to jump to station 2. You will get a warning. Performing this jump would put two jump clones in the same location. One of the jump clones will be terminated.

What is EVE?
According to the official FAQ ;

EVE is a massive multiplayer online game (MMOG) set in a science-fiction based, persistent world. Players take the role of spaceship pilots seeking fame, fortune, and adventure in a huge, complex, exciting, and sometimes hostile galaxy.

What makes EVE different from other MMORPGs?
EVE is different from many other mmorpgs in structure and form. From the official Players Guide;

EVE Online is an open-ended Massively Multiplayer Online Game (MMOG). Most other MMORPGs focus on a structured playing style with predictable outcomes and monotonous leveling. This seemingly innocent fact is why EVE is so different from almost all other MMORPGs, as the players have an incredible impact on how the game develops.

One could compare this to the difference between a playground, such as EVE, and a theme park, which would be the traditional MMOG. In a playground you have access to different kinds of toys and rides, and you are allowed to use your own imagination to figure out how to create games you enjoy. In a theme park all the rides have been created for you and are either good or bad by design. The playground clearly offers more freedom but it requires you to think and be an active participant, while the theme park has taken those responsibilities away from you and you can just go with the flow. As an interesting side-note, “theme park” style MMORPGs commonly develop lines, just like real world theme parks, as players wait for monster spawns, rare items, or quest requirements.

Players that enjoy the freedom and opportunities for creative thinking an open-ended game offers have become mesmerized by EVE, while others that depend on structured, repetitive game style have not. For this reason we don't contend that EVE is for everyone, but for those that enjoy a bit more of a challenge.

A unique aspect of EVE is that it is run on one server. In EVE you can find over 10,000 players at any given time interacting in the same persistent universe. Other MMORPGS are played on multiple servers called Shards; these have a limited number of players on each, usually between 500 and 3000.

The bottom line is that EVE is a rich and immersive universe centered on human interaction. Players can play the game as a simple space trader or endeavor to control the largest, most powerful company in the universe. We provide the rules and tools, but it is the players themselves who create the adventures.

How to get involved
If you think a career as a space pilot would be something for you, don´t hesitate to join your fellow Basiners in space. Just follow the following steps and you will soon be exploring "the final frontier".
;Step 1 : In order to start you will need a working copy of the game. EVE is not sold in stores so it has to be downloaded from http://www.eve-online.com. On the official site click the "Try Now" button and follow the instructions. If all goes well you should be able to activate a 14 day free trial.
; Step 2 : The next step is creating a your character. An EVE account has 3 character slots, but you can only use (and train skills on) one character at a time. Creating your character is a big and important step, while you can´t create a bad character you might want to check our guide to character creation to get some pointers
; Step 3 : When you have created your avatar you will automaticly start the ingame tutorial. It is highly recommended that you do the whole tutorial. EVE is quite a complicated game with a steep learning curve, and the tutorial can help a new pilot overcae he basic starting challenges. Upon finishing the tutorial you will also have gathered a small amount of isk, and a minor implant.
;Step 4 : Now would be a good time to read through the information on Basic Eve skills to get your skill training off on the right foot. If you're confused off the bat, you might want to investigate Your First 200 Hours in EVE.
;Step 5 : The Basiners in EVE operate a chat channel. In order to get in touch with the rest of us click the "channels and mailing lists" button at the left side of your screen. Click the "create/join" button and type "theamazonbasin". Welcome to EVE and fly safe!

The Amazon Basin Presence in Eve Online
There are several player corporations within Eve. If you are interested in joining, please contact the CEO. You can search for corporations in People & Places.
What is EVE?
According to the official FAQ ;

EVE is different from many other mmorpgs in structure and form. From the official Players Guide;
