::Any of the unique monsters in Act III can drop this item. Be careful, though, if you end up killing one of the flying ones over water - it may get 'dropped,' but you'll never see it because it got dropped in the water, where it can't be dropped. It's a small bug. You'll not be able to find another one in the same game, so make a new one if you want it right then and there. Only one of these quest rewards are allowed per character per difficulty.
::There's a clickable pyre somewhere in the Flayer Jungle, called "The Gidbinn." You'll need to activate it to summon a Unique Flayer, who will drop the blade when you kill him.
:General Notes
::The Black Book is found in the Ruined Temple in the Kurast Bazaar. It is guarded by Battlemaid Sarina, a unique Flesh Hunter, who spawns with a very large pack. The 6 temples in Kurast are also the only location where a monster immune to the Paladin's Blessed Hammer skill can spawn.
::To create the staff, you need the parts, and to put the parts together, you need the Horadric Cube.
:General Notes
::You may not enter the palace until you talk to Drognan after completing the Tainted Sun quest. In the center of the third level is a portal which must be activated. After activation, enter the portal to the Arcane Sanctuary. Horazon's Journal is located at the end of one of the four branches of the Sanctuary, guarded by the Summoner, a Vizjerei mage of questionable sanity who attacks you with Fire Wall, Fire Ball, Frost Nova, and a particularly vicious Glacial Spike. You can ignore the Summoner and simply read the journal to complete the quest, but due to the Summoner's lack of hit points and high damage it is generally preferable to dispose of him first.

:Quest Reward
::A portal to the Canyon of the Magi, which contains the Tomb of Tal Rasha. For players who have not completed the Seven Tombs quest, this will provide information on which tomb is the 'real' one.

:General Notes
::Duriel can be found in one of the seven tombs. Each tomb is represented by a unique symbol, whose locations are not random and are the same for each game. The correct sign, and therefore the correct tomb in which to look for Duriel, will be shown in your Quest Log. You must have the Horadric Staff to open the tomb for the first time.
About the Game (non-gameplay)
Diablo 2 is the sequal to the highly popular Diablo 1 (1996). Many players consider it to be a "hack and slash" styled role playing game (RPG).

Blizzard North released Diablo 2 version 1.0 on <date>. Blizzard released the Lord of Destruction expansion pack with version 1.07 on <date>. In addition to adding a significant amount of content with the expansion pack, Blizzard also made several game altering patches (notably 1.09 and 1.10) which added items, changed game balance, modified game mechanics, and brought a new feel with these changes. All of these updates are under their free <Battle.net> online gaming service. The current game version is 1.11(b?). Unless mentioned otherwise, all information in the Daiblo 2 wiki is for the most recent patch of Diablo 2, Lord of Destruction (D2 LOD).

Class Specific Information
Diablo 2 has 7 classes, listed below. Each of the seven classes has 3 unique trees of skills (with 10 skills each). Additionally, there are class-specific items, and items which give bonuses to only one class. General information, skills, and builds can be found for each of the classes by following the links in this section.
Technical Information
'Technical Information' is a broad category encompasing any well defined aspect of how the game works. There is more to know about the game than most people can reasonably expect to know. These pages genearlly serve as a backbone and as support for gameplay and class-specific pages. Some stand on their own, though most are highly detailed explanations of topics only brushed over elsewhere.
