Once you enter Tristram, Cain is being held in a gibbet in the center of town. Let him out, and he will return to town using a town portal. Quest Reward Deckard Cain will identify any items for you free of charge in the present difficult level. Akara will give you a ring as a reward. On normal difficulty level, this ring is magic, and in nightmare and hell, this ring is rare.
