Tradeskill

In the World of Warcraft, there are primary tradeskills and secondary tradeskills. Every character is limited to two primary tradeskills, termed professions, but can learn all secondary tradeskills. Furthermore, in the primary tradeskills there is a subset of skills that are referred to as gathering tradeskills, as they directly supply the materials needed for various crafting tradeskills.
