Horde players at this level have a hard time getting to the Badlands to do Uldaman. Most priests went this route but you do not have to do so. * Tailoring and Engineering: Why stop at just tailoring armor? With engineering the priest could make many cool trinkets, have battle pets or non-combat mechanical pets, make unique head gears (many have wait for head pieces to drop early on, but you could be wearing the Flying Tiger Goggles), make field repair bots (the Molten Core teammates would love you more). A parachute cloak might just be a life-saver when you jumped a cliff and ran out of the light feathers needed for levitation. When you have to make it to Gadgetzan fast to save your warrior friend’s butt in PVP, try out the “Ultrasafe Transporter – Gadgetzan” (if you pick the other branch of Engineering you could learn to transport to Everlook, so just as useful)

Priest class is the master of healing, crowd control, and hate control. The Priest can also resurrect dead players along with the Druid, Shaman and Paladin. The Warlock also has the ability to resurrect, through the use of soul stones. The Priest has some buffs that can help party members. The Priest can even take control of humanoid monsters at higher character levels. With the use of Shadow spells the Priest can dish out a fair amount of damage, often at the cost of increased aggro.

Alliance Priests can be Dwarf, Human or Night Elf; Horde Priests can be Troll or Undead. Each race has unique abilities that can be learned and developed throughout the Priest's career.

Useful combinations of tradeskills for a Priest are as follows:

  • Herbalism and Alchemy: Excellent for those who need mana boost during battle, or an extra buff from potions prior to battle. Shadow Protection/Fire Protection Potions and others are very helpful in level 60+ instances.
  • Skinning and Tailoring: Sew your own armor to wear or sell; the leathers you skin help in making boots, and bags for some income if not for your own use. Sell/trade extra leathers to quickly advance in tailoring. In theory, you want to be able to make stuffs 1-2 levels higher than you current level. When a tailor gets to level 35, he/she would want to be able to make mooncloths right away and save them for Mooncloth Robe, Mooncloth Gloves, Mooncloth Boots…

These items are the “gems” of tailoring for priests:

 Truefaith Vestments
(non-tailoring players could also get the pattern, and anyone in tailoring could learn, but only a priest could wear)
 Binds when picked up
 Chest	Cloth
 96 Armor
 +14 Stamina
 Classes: Priest
 Durability 100 / 100
 Requires Level 57
Equip: Increases healing done by spells and effects by up to 73.
Equip: Restores 6 mana every 5 sec.
Equip: Reduces the cooldown of your Fade ability by 2 sec.
 Robe of Power
(learn from trainer, make to use only: cannot trade to other players)
 Binds when picked up
 Chest	Cloth
 55 Armor
 +12 Intellect
 +8 Spirit
 Durability 80 / 80
 Requires Level 33
Equip: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 14.
 Spidersilk Boots
 Binds when equipped
 Feet	Cloth
 29 Armor
 +4 Stamina
 +4 Intellect
 +7 Spirit
 Durability 40 / 40
 Requires Level 20
  • Tailoring and Enchanting: Sew your own armor then enchant them for extra stats. Disenchant green/blue tailoring items that you make for materials to enchant. Potentially profitable if a player finds valuable enchanting recipes at level 300 to enchant weapons for glows, stats. This combination is not recommended for first/main characters. Leveling enchanting is very hard and costly. The last enchanting trainer is inside an instance: Uldaman, going there takes a full group at the instance’s level requirement or a very nice level 60 escort. Horde players at this level have a hard time getting to the Badlands to do Uldaman. Most priests went this route but you do not have to do so. Various classes that go to instances took up Enchanting to be able to Disenchant. A priest without Enchanting and want shards is not at a disadvantage because those shards are usually for random greed rolls anyway.
  • Tailoring and Engineering: Why stop at just tailoring armor?

This combination won't make you a lot of money and it’s rarely done. You will need to befriend a miner in a guild or empty out your purse at the Auction House.

Note this item is good for engineering priests:

Green Lens
Binds when equipped
Head	Cloth
57 Armor
+10 Stamina
<Random enchantment>
Durability 50 / 50
Requires Engineering (245)

If you do get a random enchantment that isn’t good on this item, sell it to enchanters since they want that large radiant shard badly.

Useful Combinations for Priests who need money for alternate characters:

  • Skinning and Mining
  • Skinning and Herbalism

Combination for Priests to Avoid:

  • Blacksmithing and Leatherworking
