Due to next delay of both nova and bolt, release target is only damaged by nova. However, since nova travels more quickly, targets further away may be hit by both nova and a bolt, and targets beyond range of nova (~8 yards) may still be hit by bolt. Knockback may allow closer targets to be hit by both nova and bolt, so Claws of Thunder is often released with Dragon Tail.
