Much of the information contained in our EVE Online forum is outdated or incomplete. Anqara Industries (ANQ or ANQ-I) is a corporation focused primarily on Player vs Environment (PvE) and Industry in Empire space. The charter of Anqara Industries is as follows: To provide manufactured goods to members of Anqara Industries, any alliance in which Anqara Industries is a full member, or any corporation or alliance friendly to Anqara Industries on a near-cost basis. To provide efficient manufacturing resources to members of Anqara Industries, any alliance in which Anqara Industries is a full member, or any corporation friendly to Anqara Industries at little to no cost. To sell manufactured goods at a meaningful and reasonable profit to the corporation's financial interests. To reinvest working capital into resources, such as blueprint originals, manufacturing tools, and construction components with the intent of improving Anqara Industries products and services. To provide a safe haven for Basiners wishing to learn the game. To uphold high standards of play in general, that is, to play nice and show some class. Obviously, as in all cases, this comes down to the judgement of the members. We should never have to list what is unacceptable. The membership of Anqara Industries includes a wide array of individuals: we have experienced mission runners, Production Efficiency (PEV) manufacturers, miners, and more. Unfortunately Anqara forums are no longer accessible and they do not appear to have been archived. Anqara Expeditions Anqara Expeditions (ANQ-E) is currently in hibernation. Thanks to all who made it a success. So you've decided to join ANQ-E. Congratulations. Now, here's what you need to know to get started. Bear with us, a lot of the reading and learning are front-loaded... after you get your feet wet, most of this stuff will be second-nature. Forum Access The first step is to make sure you're registered, out of game, for our communications channels. You should be signed up for the following forums: Anqara: Sign up with any handle you choose. The OSS: Sign up with [ANQ-E] XXXXX, where XXXXX is replaced with your main character's name. In both cases, once you've registered, send an EVEMail to Jai Centarium in-game with the registered names. Once he wakes up, he'll grant access to the s00per sekret member-side stuff. Read Your Mail After you've been accepted into Anqara Expeditions, you will have access to the Alliance Mailbox. Here are the rules: don't ever accidentally send mail to the Alliance mailbox (here's a hint: never use Reply or New when in the Alliance mailbox.) We don't fine, but we will make fun of you, n00b. Once you've figured out how not to send mail to the Alliance mailbox, go ahead and read the mail. The most important one will include links to the forums (for which you should have already registered), the killboard (post your losses!), and the intel channels. The other mails will serve to catch you up to current Alliance events. While you're reading, you might as well read the Corp mailbox, too. Some of that stuff is important, too. Join the Intel Channels The intel channel names are included in the Alliance mail; if you can't find them, ask in Corp chat. You should join them through the Chat interface, and always keep them open. Important stuff will happen in those channels. If you're new to Intel channels, read this: http://www.the-oss.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=3864 Get to S-U Our main base of operations is in the JQV constellation, in S-U. Most of our stuff is staged in the Masalle system, though there are other entry points to Syndicate that can be used. Getting there is probably your first big 0.0 adventure. There are three main ways to get your stuff from here to there: Fly a ship down the "pipe," the route from high sec. If you're going this route, you'll want to get some intel on the status (blue is friendly), and maybe ask a few members of the corp or alliance to meet up with you. We're happy to help; just ask. Use the transport service. We've got some haulers in the corp that can take bigger loads. If you want to get a lot of stuff down, you might ask. Carrier jumps. These are done by others in the alliance, though not with much frequency lately. The most important thing, in your new career, is to get several PvP-capable ships INTO S-U (you can base elsewhere once you get the lay of the land). It's a pain getting stuff down at first, but it makes it much easier to get started once you're here. Trust me. Try it; you'll like it. I'm Here. Now What? PvP: Ask around in the intel channels if there are any gangs you can join: "x" up in the channel, meet up with the gang, and start your hunting, gatecamp, whatever. PvE: We have NPC stations and agents in JQV, and unless there's an active defense operation (which you should always take part in... ignoring a defense op is bad, m'kay?), you're welcome to run missions. Mining: Tasty, tasty Crokite. Same rules apply: If there's a defense op or hostiles around, don't mine. Not only are you hiding out, but with mining, you're liable to get your face kicked in by the hostiles if they find you. I Have Questions Ask in Corp! The point of ANQ-E is to get people comfortable and active in 0.0. If you're not there, we want to help. I'm sure I missed a few points along the way, too! Anqara Tech Anqara Tech (ANQ-T) was created in order to construct, maintain, and utilize a Player-Owned Starbase for research and development work. Details of POS deployment are still being developed. Anqara Video Project The Anqara Video Project was started in order to provide fun and exciting videos from EVE Online to the Basin community. All footage is captured from EVE Online by Anqara members, and spliced together by Jai Centarium in order to produce something that is hopefully entertaining. Capture work is done with FRAPS; production work and rendering is done by secret tools handed down by a mysterious group of monks that live on the high steppes of a nearby mountain. Videos are typically released through YouTube (for easy access) and EVE-Files (for a downloadable, full-resolution version). All copyright holders of material used in production retain their property rights. There is no copyright on the final videos; if they're something worth stealing and exploiting, we've done something incredibly right.
