Gnome Rogue spoiler
Cunning dagger is a good weapon to have at this level, and it is a fun quest. However, the gnome rogue version of this quest is a little frustrating, because Onin Machammer is really hard to find (the quest says that he is in the vicinity of the Gnomeregan entrance). Hook daggers in Dire Maul

Lots of of mobs and some boxes drop Hook Daggers of 10 DPS and one particular stat bonus. A good area to pick up a Hook Dagger is the Deadmines where several types of Defias pirates drop these daggers. The Defias series of quests given out by Stoutmantle in Westfall culminates at Van Cleefs yacht in the Deadmines. It is an instance that almost all Alliance characters do at some point.
