Maximum Resist increases the 75% ceiling which applies to player and mercenary resistance to an absolute maximum 95%, although additional resistance needs to be applied to reach the new ceiling. For example, Resist 75% with +20% Maximum Resist needs Resist +20% to reach Resist 95%.
