As a rule of thumb when getting your [[Shaman]] healing gear together for MC and beyond. 4000hp, 5500mp, and 100 +healing (unbuffed) is a good target to start with. If you have less mana then you should have more +healing or vice versa. You will be expected to be part of a healing rotation on occasion and having 4500mp buffed is NOT going to cut it.

I have chosen to not include the gear from ZG as part of this list as ZG generally requires one to be fairly well geared going in. As such this is the gear I would recomend for healing in ZG as well as MC.

Thoughts from dave

-Also any of the items that are not class restricted from the Priest/Druid guide are great. When thinking of MC the type of armor (i.e., Mail, Cloth, Leather, etc.) doesn't matter. It's about the value you get from it.
-Offhand - Shields are nice and cute, but honestly you do not need the damage mitigation in MC. If you find yourself using a one hander like the Hammer of Grace or Gift of the Elven Magi, I would recommend a nice offhand with stats and if all else fails use a shield. Basically try and maximize your stats whether a 2 hander or a 1 hander and offhand.

Armor

Head

Horns of Eranikus: Easy to get, great for healing.
Coif of Elements: Better than horns, but harder to get.
Feathermoon Headdress- Another BoE world drop blue, very similar to the elements headpiece (3 less Intellect but 9 more Spirit)
Carrion Scorpid Helmet: I'm lukewarm about it, I mean 10 sta? But it has + healing.
Backwood Helm: is reasonable also w/ +13 sta and +9 int.

Neck

Star of Mystaria: Good shammy neck piece.
Gemshard Heart: Very nice. Slightly better than Star.
Elder Magus Pendant: Good stats + Fire resist, great to have to 'fun packs' or Rag. Farmable with a good group.
FrostWolf Advisor Pendant - 10 int/stam and mana regen. Just get honoured with AV. Better than Gemshard heart.
Animated Chain Necklace - +33 to healing. Drops off of Ramstein in UD Strath.
Tooth of Gnarr - Int/Spirit from Drakk in UBRS.
Tempest Talisman: I saw this drop a lot and Hydrospawn is not hard to get to or kill
Orb of the Darkmoon - sta and +healing/dmg

Shoulders

Cyclone Spaulders: Very common drop from the Gordok Tribute chest.
Denwatchers Shoulders: Farmable off first boss in DM North, super easy to get and really good for healing.
Pauldrons of Elements: These can be a pain to get if you arent lucky, and they really arent that great for MC.
Royal Cap Spaulders: These are about as good as it gets. Not as easy as the Denwatcher's to get though.
Drakefire Epaulets: Expensive or hard to get. Getting easier due to fair number of these dropping for us in MC and off of Onyxia.
Blue Dragonscale Shoulders: Easy to get and lots of int. Delcannan can craft these.

Back

Shroud of the Exile : Quest reward, great caster cloak.
Cloak of the Cosmos- Often dubbed the poor man's hide of the wild. Less + to healing, but a fantastic cloak. Immolthar in DM West.
Hide of the Wild - Leatherworking. Sheria and Megrimlock can both make this cloak.
Fluctuating Cloak of Fire Resistance
Onyxia Scale Cloak- Request one from the BRP thread.

Chest

Vest of Elements: Great piece. Not easy to get.
Dreamwalker Armor: Expensive or hard to get. Better than elements though.
Red Dragonscale Breastplate: Good +healing, Fire res, nothing else. Delcannan can craft this.
Chestpiece of Tranquility: It's leather, but if there are no Druids on your Dire Maul run, then I can't imagine anyone would roll on it.

Tabard

Guild tabard FTW! Show your Basin pride!

Wrist

Bindings of Elements: Easy to get, good stats.
Bracers of Prosperity: Leather but thats ok, if you get hit enough in MC to notice the AC that you give up it doesnt really matter.
Loomguard Armbraces: Less stats than proseperity, but more +heal. I'm still up in the air to which is better.
Pyremail Wristguards of the Eagle: This is the ideal set to get. Cloth or leather versions are as good. Modifiers like stamina, intellect, and owl arent bad either
Brazecore Armguards: It's almost the same as bracers of elements, but a bit more sta and less int.
Lordly Armguards[/url - BoE World Drop Blue, not really the best for MC but good all round stats nevertheless.

Hands

Harmonious Gauntlets: As good as it gets for MC gloves IMO.
Gauntlets of Elements: Better than nothing for MC, but there are lots that are better.
Gordok Gauntlets: Very nice if you can't get Harmonoius.
Dracorian Gauntlets: Lots of spirit which can be nice.
Gloves of Restoration: DM East end boss, very nice balance between stats and +healing
Stonerender Gauntlets: are a very nice option, IMO, and are usually reasonably affordable (60-80g). Also the nature res would be nice for ZG.

Waist

Eye Stalk Cord- Leather and + to healing. Immolthar in DM West.
Detention Strap - Nice piece, better than Cord of Elements for MC. Gandling in Scholo.
Belt of the Archamge: Imo it's worth losing 100 armor for those stats. If you know someone who can make it then it's just a matter of pharming up the ingredients.
Barrage Girdle: Damage and healing. :)

Legs

Padre's Trousers - Cloth, 20 int, + mana Regen, +42 healing. Hunter chick in DM West.
Silvermoon leggings: the Prince in DM West drops it, he is a tough cookie and getting to him is a job too
Ghoul Skin Leggings:

Feet

Merciful Greaves: not hard to get to this boss, up to your luck if he drops the boots or not. The BEST non-epic shammy boots that in the game.
Waterspout Boots- DM
Boots of the Full moon- I still agree that Merciful Greaves are “teh besto” for Shaman shoes, but I think Boots of the Full Moon aren't much of a sacrifice and in some circles might even be considered slightly better. You lose 20 health and 30 mana, but gain +1 healing and 9 extra Spirit.

Trinkets

Royal Seal of Eldre'thalas: is pretty much teh besto for raid healer shammies.
Second Wind: use regens use regens 30 mana every 1 sec for 10 sec and equip +22 healing
Mindtap Talisman: People like Hiroyoshi and Kevisa have a nice + to mana regen gear and they are monsters when it comes to having perpetual mana pools.
Blazing Emblem is +15 FR passive with a +50 burst w/ a straight damage reduction useable ability on a 10 min cooldown.
Eye of the Beast: is pretty nice as a 2% crit to spells trinket.
Rune of the Guard Captain: is another nice enhance spec trinket w/ +attack and +to hit.
Smoking Heart of the Mountain: for nice resists.
Burst of Knowledge - From flamelash in BRD
Enamored Water Spirit - Reward from the lv 50 shaman quest. Gets bonuses from the talents leading to mana tide, and is a really good trinket to have.

Rings

Seal of Rivendare - Int/Spirit from Baron in UD Strath.
Emerald Flame Ring: - Zing!
Royal Seal of Alexis:
Frodring's Seal: - result of a long quest chain, but the first half of it can be soloed, and the last part that looks pretty hard is actually pretty easy if you do it smart
Blood of the Martyr:
Tidal Loop - Easy quest reward

Weapons/Sheilds/Off hands

Stoneflower Staff- Big tree in DM West. 25 int and 1% crit.
Hammer of the Grand Crusader - 26 int, + to healing - Boss in SM Strath.
Gift of the Elven Magi - SM Strath, best Shammy dagger blue.
Hammer of Grace - BRD Mace - + to healing from Chest of 7 in BRD.
Argent Crusader - 30 Int. from the Baron questline in EPL.
Trindlehaven Staff - Another 30 Int staff. Wyrm in LBRS.
Penelope's Rose - Good all purpose offhand with decent stats. Scholo quest line reward.
Sacred Protector - Nice Stam/int - Oracle Questline.
Draconian Deflector - Good tanking shield, but mainly for FR. Drops off of Drak in UBRS. (Don't take at the expense of a warrior).
Skull of Burning Shadows - 15 Fire Resist, no other stats. Drops in UD Strath off of Maleki the Pallid.
Brightly Glowing Stone - 7 Sta, 37 Healing. DM North Tribute.
Lorespinner: Mana regen gear.
Milli's Lexicon: Mana regen gear.
