The greater the skill of the Necromancer, the greater the magnitude of torment the victim receives for his wrongdoings. Percentage of melee physical damage is only returned if a hostile melee attack hits and applies damage. Damage returned is based on final physical damage, so reducing or even negating physical damage will result in less or no damage returned. Damage returned is always applied to the attacker, but it can be reduced or even negated: an Immune to Physical monster will take no damage. Returned damage is calculated based on actual rather than potential physical damage: if 1,000 physical damage is dealt but it only takes 100 damage to kill the attacker then level 1 (200%) returns 200 damage, not 2,000 damage. Returned damage is 1/4 when applied to player or mercenary. Adds to % damage returned by Thorns and Spirit of Barbs but, due to attacker Damage Resist, casting Amplify Damage normally results in more damage when using those skills. Cast rate Source Oblivion Knight no longer casts it. Skill bonus +(1-3) Iron Maiden (Necromancer Only) can spawn on ilvl >11 wands and shrunken heads.
