HistoryDuring the mid-twelfth century, after the Church of Zakarum had gained prominence in the East, the Church decreed that the visions of Akarat would be spread throughout the known world in order to redeem the masses. Thus, the Church selected a group of its most charismatic and devoted priests and sent them on a mission to proselytize the people of the West.
Attribute
SkillsPaladins use holy magic as gifted by the High Heavens. They maintain strictly ordered lives, constantly upholding the cause of Virtue and Light. They must never succumb to worldly temptations lest they risk being deceived into following "false lights" - demons masquerading as Heavenly beings.
Movement
Attack rate
Block rateThe table below lists the minimum Faster Block Rate required to reduce the number of frames in the blocking animation and thus increase its speed. >155 FBR is beyond reach in unmodified game.
Cast rateThe table below lists the minimum Faster Cast Rate required to reduce the number of frames in the casting animation and thus increase its speed. Action frame is the frame in which casting actually takes place: when the animation is interrupted before this frame has displayed then casting does not occur, so the earlier it occurs the less likely the animation is to be interrupted before casting.
Hit recoveryThe table below lists the minimum Faster Hit Recovery required to reduce the number of frames in the hit recovery animation and thus increase its speed. >594 FHR is beyond reach in unmodified game.
