Grathnyz is an Undead Mage. I got depressed over a complete lack of an Alterac Valley instances on Stormrage so decided to start a toon on Tichondrius. On 8/29/05 Grathnyz hit Honored in Alterac Valley and is officially hooked.

On 12/17 Grathnyz respeccd to a 33/18 Frost/Arcane build. It is taking a good bit of time to learn the frost playstyle. So far I miss the burst damage that Fire gives. Now it is time to learn how to leverage greater survivability.

Fire Build History: All Talent points went into Arcane up to and including level 30. At level 30, I had 5 in Arc Missiles, 5 in Arcane Concentration, 1 in Imp Arc Explosion, 5 points in IAE, 2 points in Arcane Focus, 2 points in Imp Counterspell and 1 point in Presence of Mind.

I've taken the plunge and gone down the Fire path. I've taken 5 points in Imp Fire Ball to increase my DPS for my bread and butter spell. 5 points have gone into Impact because stun is cool. 2 points in Flame Throwing for more range.

I've taken 5 points in Ignite to get to the higher cost Talents. I put a point in Pyroblast because it seemed like the thing to do. I'm underwhelmed with the spell.

At level 55 I have 3 points in Imp Flamestrike, one in Blast Wave and 3 points in Critical Mass. I really really like Critical Mass.

Time to finish it out with Fire Power.
