Template:Curse Necromancers can tap into the spirit realm, channeling bitter and mischievous spirits into the minds of nearby enemies. The victims are bombarded with the gibbering of the dead, which, indistinguishable from their own thoughts, urge them to strike at friend and foe alike. The discordant wailing of these spirits builds to a crescendo, eventually driving the victim mad.

- Gain experience from monsters killed by confused monsters, but not from those killed while confused.
- Target may remain confused after expiry until its next AI check.
- Friendly auras and buffs supplied by players and allies do not apply to confused monsters, although hostile auras and debuffs still apply.
- Friendly Aura Enchanted Unique monster auras and buffs which have not expired still apply to confused monsters, but now so do hostile monster auras and buffs: confused monsters can be cursed, which may overwrite Confuse.
- Cannot be overwritten by the following:
- Dim Vision
- Terror
- Attract
- Taunt
- Grim Ward
- Hit Blinds Target
- Also cannot be overwritten by itself: once a monster is confused, Confuse must expire before it can be confused again. [1]
