YuGiOh's Multiple Damage Ranger (PvE/PvP)
Overview
Bow rangers have always been my favourite type of character to play in PvP and PvE, yet in PvP they're hardly used! That's why I decided to work on making a working bow ranger build for PvP, and consequently it works in PvE too, as my brother found out on his.
The gist of the build is that you have the main damage from your bow, 5 health lifesteal from your Vampiric bow, (it's recommended to have a Vampiric bow, but not required) 23 extra fire damage from Kindle Arrows, and it also turns your arrows into fire so that Conjure Flame does an extra (unconditional) 10 fire damage. Favorable Winds also adds an extra 6 damage and makes your arrows nearly nonavoidable, although its damage add is not very visible. So in total you have 5 damage sources, and if you really feel the need to, you can grab your pet, although that's spreading attributes a bit thin.
Strengths
This guy can pump out massive amounts of damage in a short time, quickly taking down monks in PvP because Reversal of Fortune only takes the first damage done to the target. The Multiple Damage Ranger also has an interrupt for important skills that the opponent might have.
Weaknesses
People who like killing your spirit of Favorable Winds, and interrupting when trying to use Troll Unguent.
Attributes
Ranger/Elementalist
Expertise 8+2
Beast Mastery 3+1 (if using a pet, you can also feel free to allocate points from other attributes)
Wilderness Survival 11+2+1
Marksmanship 8+1
Fire Magic 9
Skills
- 1. Conjure Flame
- 2. Kindle Arrows
- 3. Poison Arrow [ELITE] or Practiced Stance [ELITE]
- 4. Dual Shot
- 5. Distracting Shot or Savage Shot
- 6. Troll Unguent
- 7. Favorable Winds
- 8. Resurrection Signet
How to play
Step 1: Cast Conjure Flame.
Step 2: Use Kindle Arrows and Practiced Stance if you chose that over the poison of Poison Arrow.
Step 3: Find a good place to plant Favorable Winds so that is fairly protected and will cover a large area that you will be fighting in.
Step 4: Aggro a group (PvE) or get into the fray! (PvP).
Step 5: Beat them down! Use Dual Shot whenever possible, keep up Kindle Arrows, Conjure Flame and Practiced Stance if you chose it, or poison them with Poison Arrow. Interrupt important skills, and use Troll Unguent when low on health. Happy hunting!
Equipment Suggestions
A full set of Druid's Armor is nice as the build is a bit heavy on energy. A Vampiric Bow should be used to maximize damage output, but isn't absolutely needed. A Shortbow and a Longbow is useful for different refire rates and longer range.
Thanks
Thanks to MrBadExample for giving me a template to post my build in, the folks who thought of this wonderful idea, I'll be hanging around here a lot, and for the Amazon Basin for being the wonderful community it is, without you guys and Guild Wars to waste my time on, I'd be bored to heck and back this summer. Thank you for making me laugh, cry and generally have a good time.
