Grathnyz is an Undead Mage. I got depressed over a complete lack of an Alterac Valley instances on Stormrage so decided to start a toon on Tichondrius. On 8/29/05 Grathnyz hit Honored in Alterac Valley and is officially hooked.

All Talent points went into Arcane up to and including level 30. At level 30, I had 5 in Arc Missiles, 5 in Arcane Concentration, 1 in Imp Arc Explosion, 5 points in IAE, 2 points in Arcane Focus, 2 points in Imp Counterspell and 1 point in Presence of Mind.

I've taken the plunge and gone down the Fire path. I've taken 5 points in Imp Fire Ball to increase my DPS for my bread and butter spell. 5 points have gone into Impact because stun is cool. 2 points in Flame Throwing for more range.

I've taken 5 points in Ignite to get to the higher cost Talents.

I put a point in Pyroblast because it seemed like the thing to do. I'm underwhelmed with the spell.

At level 55 I have 3 points in Imp Flamestrike, one in Blast Wave and 3 points in Critical Mass. I really really like Critical Mass.

Time to finish it out with Fire Power.

At 60 I may well spec out of IFb/Pyro into a Scorch build. I'm very much enjoying Scorch recently so, we'll see. I'd want at least 18 points in Arcane and 20 points in Fire when I respec.

Improved Flamestrike
Rank 3/3
Increases the critical strike chance of your Flamestrike spell by 15%.

Critical Mass
Rank 3/3
Increases the critical strike chance of your fire spells by 6%.

Blast Wave
Rank 1/1
A wave of flame radiates outward from the caster, damaging all enemies caught within the blast for 160 to 192 Fire damage, and dazing them for 6 sec.

Fire Power
Rank 5/5
Increases the damage done by your fire spells by 10%.

Gives you a 100% chance to avoid interruption caused by damage while channeling Arcane Missiles.

Arcane Focus

Reduces the chance that the opponent can resist your arcane spells by 4%.

Arcane Concentration

Gives you a 10% chance of entering a Clearcasting state after any damage spell hits a target. The Clearcasting state reduces the mana cost of your next damage spell by 100%.

Reduces the casting time of your Arcane Explosion spell by 1.5 sec.
