- Each successful attack adds one charge, up to a maximum of three: further successful attacks only reset duration charges are active before expiring.
- Charge bonuses do not apply until released using one of the following finishing skills:
- Melee Normal Attack
- Dragon Talon
- Dragon Claw
- Dragon Tail
- Dragon Flight
- Only first successful attack applies charge bonuses when using Dragon Talon or Dragon Claw.
- Converts percentage of finishing skill's physical attack damage to fire damage. Conversion occurs after +% Damage and Deadly Strike or Critical Strike are applied and before Resist % is applied: Damage Resist % won't affect converted fire damage but Fire Resist % will.
- Level >33 converts 100% of finishing skill's physical attack damage to fire damage.
- Charge bonuses accumulate upon successful attacks: applies fire damage to release target with one to three charges, fire damage within radius with two to three, and fire damage per second within radius with three; one charge applies +50% AR to finishing skill, two apply +100% AR and three apply +150% AR.
- Upon release of third charge a pyre containing static missiles applying fire bit rate every frame is created within radius. Displayed fire damage per second assumes two of these missiles apply damage to target (bit rate*2*25/256). However, these missiles are size 2 and not interlocking, so it is possible that 1/2 or even none of the displayed fire damage per second will be applied.
- Since unit damage regeneration does not apply when as little as 1 bit (1/256 point) damage is applied in a frame, units that are not Immune to Fire will not regenerate while positioned over fire. [2] [3]
- Synergy bonus only applies to charge fire damage and fire damage per second, not to converted fire damage.
- +% Fire Skill Damage only applies to fire damage of first and second charges, not fire damage per second or converted fire damage. [4]
- When equipping two claws, both weapons are used to attack.
- Can also accumulate charges from the following skills before releasing with a finishing skill:
- Tiger Strike
- Cobra Strike
- Claws of Thunder
- Blades of Ice
- Phoenix Strike
- As long as durations of respective charge-up skills do not expire, all applicable charge bonuses are applied to the finishing skill upon release.

- +1-3 Fists of Fire can spawn on ilvl <37 Exceptional and Elite claws (Hand Scythe and higher).
