One of three available followers in the game as of the Diablo 3 Beta (patch 9), Kormac is a warrior of the templar order that wields a melee javelin and shield while fighting alongside the hero.
|
Gameplay
The Templar follower is acquired in the Catacombs level 3 as part of the Reign of the Black King quest in Act 1. Kormac follows the hero or party through the end of the level, where part of his backstory is resolved and he afterwards offers to join the player as a permanent follower.
As with other followers, the Templar is only available as a companion during solo gameplay.
Skills
The templar has eight skills arranged in exclusive pairs. The player gains the option to choose one skill from each pair for the Templar to use when the Templar reaches levels 5, 10, 15 and 20. Skill descriptions are based on a level 60 follower.
