  • Throughout its history, Diablo II has been patched to fix bugs, introduce improvements, adjust game balance and add content. Patches are automatically downloaded and installed when connecting to Battle.net, so players are always playing the latest patch on the Realms.
  • Earlier patches can still be played in Single Player (and Other Multiplayer) by reinstalling Classic Diablo II for patches prior to the Expansion (1.07), and by reinstalling the Lord of Destruction Expansion for later patches. Earlier patches can be downloaded from Blizzard's File Transfer Protocol site.
