Overlay when life is returned. - Magic Resist +20% is applied to Unique when this does not result in a third immunity or increase one of two or more existing immunities. [1]
- Mana Burn Unique monsters, and their minions in Nightmare and Hell, always apply mana damage with their attacks, reducing a player's mana rather than life. When the monster is no longer at maximum life, healing equivalent to final mana damage to the player is applied. No other units have mana, so healing only applies when attacking players and it is limited by their current mana: a player with no mana takes no mana damage, and thus no healing is applied. [2] [3]
- This bonus damage does not increase with player count. However, it is multiplied by 256 when applied by a melee attack. [4]
- Critical hits do not double mana damage. However, difficulty level penalties to resistance apply, so mana damage is 40% higher in Nightmare and 100% higher in Hell. [5]
