Discipline Talents

Tier 1 - Unbreakable Will/Silent Resolve

Unbreakable Will 5 points
Increases your chance to resist Stun, Fear, and Silence effects by 3% per point.
Not amazing, but the best way to get started on the discipline tree


Silent Resolve 5 points
Reduces the threat generated by your damage spells by 4% per point.
Pretty worthless. In a group with a good tank you won't be pulling aggro unless spamming mindblast. If you want to spam a damage spell it is easier to use Holy Smite or Mind Flay and save these points for unbreakable will.

Tier 2 - IPW:Shield/IPW:Fortitude/Martyrdom/Wand Specialization

Improved Power Word: Shield 3 points
Reduces the duration of your Power Word: Shield's Weakened Soul effect by 5 seconds per point.
Best discipline talent ever. Very needed in PvP where instant cast spells are great. Also of a lot of PvE use when shielding a mage to AoE.

Improved Power Word: Fortitude 2 points
Increases the effect of your Power Word: Fortitude spell by 15% per point.
Nicely spends 2 more points for you after shield to go deeper in discipline.

Martyrdom 2 points
Gives you a 50% chance per point to gain the Focused Casting effect that lasts for 6 seconds after being the victim of a critical strike. The Focused Casting effect prevents you from losing casting time when taking damage.
Not of much use but does open up focused casting which is ok.

Wand Specialization 5 points
Increases your damage with Wands by 1% per point.
Until they add autoshoot for wands it is pretty worthless.

Tier 3 - Focused Casting/Mental Agility

Focused Casting
While active, you no longer lose casting time from taking damage. Lasts 8 seconds.


Mental Agility
Reduces the mana cost of your instant cast spells by 2% per point.


Tier 4 - Improved Mana Burn/Mental Strength/Improved Inner Fire

Improved Mana Burn
Reduces the casting time of your Mana Burn spell by 0.3 seconds per point.


Mental Strength
Increases your maximum Mana by 2% per point.


Improved Inner Fire
Increases the effects of your Inner Fire spell by 15% per point.


Tier 5 - Meditation/Inner Focus

Meditation
Allows 3% per point of your Mana regeneration to continue while casting.


Inner Focus
When activated, reduces the Mana cost of your next spell by 100% and increases its critical effect chance by 25% if it is capable of a critical effect.


Tier 6 - Force of Will

Force of Will
Increases your spell damage by 1% per point and the critical strike chance of your offensive spells by 1% per point.


Tier 7 - Divine Spirit

Divine Spirit
Holy power infuses the target, increasing their Spirit by 23 for 30 minutes.

Holy Talents

Tier 1 - Improved Renew/Holy Specialization

Improved Renew
Increases the amount healed by your Renew spell by 4% per point.


Holy Specialization
Increases the critical effect chance of your Holy spells by 1% per point.


Tier 2 - Spiritual Healing/Improved Smite

Spiritual Healing
Increases the amount healed by your healing spells by 2% per point.


Improved Smite
Increases the damage of your Smite spell by 2% per point.


Tier 3 - Holy Fire/Inspiration/Subtlety

Holy Fire
Consumes the enemy in flames that cause 90 to 116 Fire damage and an additional 28 Fire damage over 8 seconds.


Inspiration
Increases your target's armor value from items by 5% per point for 15 seconds after getting a critical effect from your Flash Heal, Heal, Greater Heal, or Prayer of Healing spell.


Subtlety
Reduces the threat generated by your healing spells by 4% per point.


Tier 4 - Improved Healing/Improved Flash Heal

Improved Healing
Reduces the Mana cost of your Lesser Heal, Heal, and Greater Heal spells by 3% per point.


Improved Flash Heal
Gives you a 35% chance per point to avoid Interruption caused by damage while casting Flash Heal.

Tier 5 - Improved Prayer of Healing/Spirit of Redemption/Divine Fury

Improved Prayer of Healing
Reduces the Mana cost of your Prayer of Healing spell by 10% per point.


Spirit of Redemption
Upon death, summons a Spirit of Redemption that heals nearby friendly targets for 318 to 360 and another 343 over 21 seconds.


Divine Fury
Reduces the casting time of your Smite and Holy Fire spells by 0.1 second per point.

Tier 6 - Master Healer

Master Healer
Reduces the casting time of your Heal and Greater Heal spells by 0.5 seconds.


Tier 7 - Holy Nova

Holy Nova
Causes an explosion of holy light around the caster, causing 80 to 88 Holy damage to all targets within 10 yards. The effect also temporarily reduces your threat level against nearby targets for 5 seconds.


Shadow Talents

Tier 1 - Spirit Tap/Blackout

Spirit Tap
Gives you a 20% chance per point to gain a 100% bonus to your Spirit after killing a target. For the duration, your Mana may regenerate at a 50% rate while casting. Lasts 15 seconds.


Blackout
Gives your Shadow damage spells a 2% chance per point to stun the target for 3 seconds.


Tier 2 - Improved Shadow Word: Pain/Shadow Focus/Shadow Affinity

Improved Shadow Word: Pain
Increases the duration of your Shadow Word: Pain spell by 3 seconds per point.


Shadow Focus
Reduces your target's chance to resist your Shadow spells by 2% per point.


Shadow Affinity
Reduces the threat generated by your Shadow spells by 5% per point.


Tier 3 - Improved Psychic Scream/Improved Mind Blast/Mind Flay

Improved Psychic Scream
Reduces the cooldown of your Psychic Scream ability by 2 seconds per point.


Improved Mind Blast
Reduces the cooldown of your Mind Blast spell by 0.5 seconds per point.


Mind Flay
Assault the target's mind with Shadow energy, causing 75 damage over 3 seconds and slowing the target to 50% of their movement speed.

Tier 4 - Improved Fade/Shadow Reach

Improved Fade
Increases the duration of your Fade ability by 5 seconds per point.


Shadow Reach
Increases the range of your Shadow damage spells by 6%/13%/20%.

Tier 5 - Vampiric Embrace/Shadow Weaving/Silence

Vampiric Embrace
Afflicts your target with Shadow energy that causes all party members to be healed for 20% of any Shadow damage you deal for 1 minute.


Shadow Weaving
Your Shadow damage spells have a 20% chance per point to cause your target to be vulnerable to Shadow damage. This vulnerability increases the Shadow damage dealt to your target by 3% and lasts 15 seconds. Stacks up to 5 times.


Silence
Silence the target, preventing them from casting spells for 5 seconds.

Tier 6 - Darkness

Darkness
Increases your Shadow spell damage by 2% per point.

Tier 7 - Shadowform

Shadowform
Assume a Shadowform, increasing your Shadow damage by 15% and reducing Physical damage done to you by 15%. However, you may only cast Shadow and Discipline spells while in this form.
