Template:Curse This spell curses a creature, condemning them to receive whatever pains they inflict upon others. The greater the skill of the Necromancer, the greater the magnitude of torment the victim receives for his wrongdoings.

  • Percentage of melee physical damage is only returned if a hostile melee attack hits and applies damage.
  • Damage returned is based on final physical damage, so reducing or even negating physical damage will result in less or no damage returned.
  • Damage returned is always applied to the attacker, but it can be reduced or even negated: an Immune to Physical monster will take no damage.
  • Returned damage is calculated based on actual rather than potential physical damage: if 1,000 physical damage is dealt but it only takes 100 damage to kill the attacker then level 1 (200%) returns 200 damage, not 2,000 damage.
  • Returned damage is 1/4 when applied to player or mercenary.
  • Adds to % damage returned by Thorns and Spirit of Barbs but, due to attacker Damage Resist, casting Amplify Damage normally results in more damage when using those skills.
