Every corpse created as a result of a violent death carries with it the anguish of its final moments. With this spell the Necromancer is able to call upon those energies and focus them into a single violent force. This force then expels itself from the carcass with such power that it causes a dramatic explosion.

- Damage is applied within radius of corpse and calculated based on 70-120% of its normal average base life: this means damage from corpses of Champion, Unique, Super Unique and boss monsters is calculated based on 70-120% of the average base life of a normal monster of their level.
- Skill description radius is only accurate for odd-numbered skill levels: for even-numbered skill levels, the average of physical damage radius and fire damage radius is displayed. [1]
- Damage does not increase with player count.
- When target mlvl > clvl, damage is multiplied by clvl/mlvl. [2]
- 50% damage is converted to fire damage.
- Considered a Fire Skill, but +% Fire Skill Damage from items and Fire Mastery does not apply to its fire damage. [3] [4]
- Damage is always applied within its radius: it cannot be blocked in any way.
- Damage not reduced by -% Damage, applied by the following:
- Amplify Damage is normally best cast to maximise damage.
After casting Amplify Damage, exploding the corpse of Bishibosh nearly wipes out the entire Fallen encampment, despite the fact they are all Immune to Fire in Hell. However, this would not be possible in a game with a higher player count.

- Nihlathak casts NihlathakCorpseExplosion, not Corpse Explosion. While similar, this skill applies damage within a different radius of corpse, calculated based on just 10-20% of its normal average base life.
