::Radament can be found on the third level of the Sewers.  There are many Burning Archers on the way (whose arrows deal fire damage), so be prepared.  Radament himself also surrounds himself with a horde of undead, which he will revive.

::To create the staff, you need the parts, and to put the parts together, you need the [[Horadric Cube]].  The Horadric Staff can be found on the second level of the Maggot Lair, while the [[Amulet of the Viper]] can be acquired from the [[Claw Viper Temple Level 2]].  The Horadric Cube itself can be found on the third level of the Halls of the Dead.

::You may not enter the palace until you talk to Drognan after completing the [[Tainted Sun]] quest.  In the center of the third level is a portal which must be activated.  After activation, enter the portal to the Arcane Sanctuary. Horazon's Journal is located at the end of one of the four branches of the Sanctuary, guarded by the Summoner, a Vizjerei mage of questionable sanity who attacks you with Fire Wall, Fire Ball, Frost Nova, and a particularly vicious Glacial Spike. You can ignore the Summoner and simply read the journal to complete the quest, but due to the Summoner's lack of hit points and high damage it is generally preferable to dispose of him first.

::A portal to the Canyon of the Magi, which contains the Tomb of Tal Rasha. For players who have not completed the Seven Tombs quest, this will provide information on which tomb is the 'real' one.

::Kill Duriel.

::Duriel can be found in one of the seven tombs.  Each tomb is represented by a unique symbol, whose locations are not random and are the same for each game.  The correct sign, and therefore the correct tomb in which to look for Duriel, will be shown in your Quest Log.  You must have the Horadric Staff to open the tomb for the first time.

::Quest drop if a player needing the quest kills Duriel and access to Act III.
