Quests are non-random tasks that can either push the storyline, or be optional to do. You will recognize a NPC with a quest by a yellow or purple ! or a ? above their heads. If the color is purple, it is a a storyline quest, otherwise it is an optional quest. NPC's will make it worth your while if you help them out by rewarding you with items or experience. All quests in the game can be tracked in your quest log.
