Replenishment math:

EJ Post here: http://elitistjerks.com/f74/t38137-survival_hunter_wotlk/p19/#post1049194

I think any raid SV build should have some points in hunting party. If your raid is guaranteed to have 2 ret/sp (I'm assuming at least 5 ppl in your 25 man raid don't use mana), I suppose you can just skip hunting party to max expose weakness or something and ignore this post.

In light of this talent, I figured I should do some math to help decide how many points to put in, since I don't remember seeing such post in this thread (This is a crude estimation).

In optimal dps rotation, you cast ES every 4, Aimed every 7, Serpent every 14 gcds (assuming serpent sting glyph). So one gcd is made up of 1/4 ES, 1/7 Aimed, 1/14 Serpent, and 15/28 SS. However, explosive shot has 3 ticks, so you get 3/4 ES ticks per gcd, thus in total, 9/7 hunting party relevant shots per gcd, or 6/7 shots per sec. Raid buffed, SV spec can easily get 45% crit, and ES and SS have shot specific crit talents, so just for the simplicity's sake, say we have 50% crit chance, so, we have 3/7 crits per sec. Since Hunting party has 15 sec duration, you get 45/7 crits on average during a hunting party proc. Now the uptime of hunting party is 1 - (1 - n*.2)^(45/7), where n is number of talent points you have in the talent. This gives uptime of 1 pt in HP: 76.18% 2 pt in HP: 96.25% 3 pt in HP: 99.72% 4 pt in HP: 99.997%

1 pt in HP seems pretty good, and 2pt appears to be sufficient enough. It seems that you might be able to get away with just 1 pt.

Hunting Party current talent: Hunting Party Rank 2

Increases your total Agility by an additional 2%, and your Arcane Shot, Explosive Shot and Steady Shot critical strikes have a 66% chance to grant up to 10 party or raid members mana regeneration equal to 0.25% of the maximum mana per second. Lasts for 15 sec.

Expost Weakness current talent: Expose Weakness Rank 2

Your ranged criticals have a 66% chance to grant you Expose Weakness. Expose Weakness increases your attack power by 25% of your Agility for 7 sec.

Old wording about SSC stuff from Raid post:

We're making a fairly major change for SSC: we will be using one pool of points for T4 and T5 loot. Because of this decision, we are moving to Zero-Sum with Upgrade pricing on class sets, so that people who have improved their gear won't be at a disadvantage. The system is basically the same as before, only we'll be pricing class set pieces differently depending on if you've looted the T4 item on our system, in which case you'll pay the difference between T5 and T4. If you're not upgrading from another T4 piece within our system, you will pay the full T5 price. We want to encourage people to upgrade their gear in order to contribute to the raid's success, not to hoard points. Invites will also be dependent partially on your gear level. And, as always, raid leaders have final discretion on loot decisions.

We've already had vortexes drop, so we need a way of dealing with them. In keeping with our zero-sum system, they will cost points, depending on the item that people are planning on making with them. Their point value is discounted from the value that the item would normally cost in our system, to recognize that the buyer will have to put his/her own materials into the item.

We will designate the looter of the vortexes prior to the raid, and they will loot all of the vortexes until they have all they need. The exact method is still up in the air a little. Since we have only recently made the decision about keeping one pool for the T4 and T5 points, we may not use raw current points as the decision-maker. We may do something like a roll for those above a certain point threshold. Currently, we have someone who looted the first vortex, so they will get the next vortexes until their item is made.

The vortexes will be paid for when looted, and as stated earlier, the 'looter' is designated prior to raid. Prices based on the items they will make: 1H Weapon = 65 BRP per nether 2H Weapon = 100 BRP per nether Chest = 260 BRP per nether BoE Belts = 150 BRP per nether (paid for by the person who will wear the belt)

The other fundamentals of the system, including the formulae we're using to determine point values, remains the same, and they are detailed on the wiki.
