The resulting detonation not only allows her to damage her intended target, but also anything caught within the explosive blast. The sight of a full battalion of Amazon archers firing a volley of such arrows is eerily beautiful. A successful hit-check is required for Pierce to be effective: an arrow that pierces four targets and hits five will explode on each impact. 95% chance to hit with 100% piercing results in approximately 81.5% chance of a single arrow piercing four times and applying explosion damage up to five times each to targets that are close enough together. Normal Attack's attack rate is used. Exploding Arrow's +% Attack Rating is not applied, even though the character screen calculates and displays AR as though it is. [2] Skill damage is only applied by the explosion, while attack fire damage (including that from Enchant and Holy Fire) is added to both the arrow and the explosion. +% Fire Skill Damage only applies to skill damage.
