Dsnekr is a Rogue who is working toward the Ass/Sub build. Dsnekr's current Talent build is as follows:

Level 60 - Done with the build. The first point or two of Seal Fate didn't show much return without Imp Backstab, the last few points really improved the situation. Now to experience it and see how it plays with Prep.

I'm thinking about switching to a 30/8/13 build but I want to see how useful Improved Sap remains. So far it is useful in BRD, much less so in Sunken Temple but I should be about done with that one.

Talent Build

Assassination Talents (29 points)

Improved Eviscerate - 3/3 point
Increases the damage done by your Eviscerate ability by 5%.
Evis has become an awesome skill. The upgrade received in the 40s made a big difference. This Talent is very much appreciated now.

Malice - 5/5 points
Increases your critical strike chance by 5%.
Loving the crits.

Murder - 2/2 points
Increases your chance to hit while using your Sap, Ambush, Garrote, or Cheap Shot abilities by 5%.
This is very nice to have. I notice the reduced misses.

Ruthlessness - 3/3 points
Gives your finishing moves a 40% chance to add a combo point to your target.
Filler to get to Lethality. The extra combo point from time to time when using Rupture/SnD can be nice. I can build up lots of DoTs using these points.

Relentless Strikes - 1/1 point
Your finishing moves have a 20% chance per combo point to restore 25 energy. This definitely helps to keep energy levels up when grouped in instances.

Lethality - 5/5 point
Increases the critical strike damage bonus of your Sinister Strike, Gouge, Backstab, Ambush, Ghostly Strike, or Hemorrhage ability by 18%.
More Damage!

Vile Poisons - 5/5 points
Increases the damage dealt by your poisons by 15% Gets me toward Seal Fate

Cold Blood - 1/1 point When activated, increases the critical strike chance of your next Sinister Strike, Backstab, Ambush, or Eviscerate by 100%. This has quickly turned into one of my favotite Talents. I love being able to pick when to crit. I just wish it wsn't used up on misses.

Seal Fate - 5/5 points Your critical strikes from abilities that add combo points have a 100% chance to add an additional combo point. Can really help to build Combo points quickly. I can often get enough combo points in a group fight to pull off at least one 5point evis.

I'd love to find a way to get Imp Backstab but am not willing to give up Imp Sap and I want to try Seal Fate.

Subtlety Talents (18 points)

Master of Deception - 5/5 points
Reduces the chance enemies have to detect you while in Stealth mode. More effective than Master of Deception (Rank 4)
Very useful.

Opportunity - 5/5 points
Increases the damage dealt when striking from behind with your Backstab, Garrote, or Ambush abilities by 20%.
Big ambushes and BSes.

Improved Ambush - 3/3 points
Increases the critical strike chance of your Ambush ability by 40%.
Big Ambushes!

Initiative - 45 points
Gives you a 60% chance to add an additional combo point to your target when using your Ambush, Garrote, or Cheap Shot ability.
It is very nice to get these points at the start of a fight. 3 points from Cheap Shot is WoW! 2 points off a 500 point Ambush crit ensures that the +level mob is going down soon.

Improved Sap - 3/3 points
Adds a 90% chance to return to stealth mode after using your Sap ability.
This is a super ability. I use it alot in instance so far. Remember to always sap the caster ;) Melee types chase, casters just stand there and nuke the party. You are stealthed out to the mobs because no one wants you to be seen for a reason!

Preparation - 1/1 point When activated, this ability immediately finishes the cooldown on your other Rogue abilities. Just got it. No comment yet.

Demon Dogs from Tirion Fordring in Eastern Plaguelands. DO THIS! Do this NOW!
The map on this guy is WAY off. Get to the bridge over the Thondaril River, stay on the EAST side of it. Go straight north until you see a little cabin, the guy and his horse are there.

Mayara Brightwing - See Count Remington Ridgewell in SW.

The Human, Ras Frostwhisper - Leads to the Lich in Scholomance through Stratholme.

Frostsaber Provisions - Presumably allows the rare level 60 frostsaber to be purchased. Location is 50,11 in Winterspring.
Winterfall Intrusion - Presumably allows the rare level 60 frostsaber to be purchased.

Deflection - 5/5 points Increases your Parry chance by 5%.


Dual Wield Specialization - 3/5 points Increases the damage done by your offhand weapon by 30%.


Improved Kick - 2/2 points Gives your Kick ability a 100% chance to silence the target for 2 seconds.


Blade Flurry - 1/1 point Increases your attack speed by 20%. In addition, attacks strike an additional nearby opponent. Lasts 15 seconds.


Sword Specialization - 4/5 points Gives you a 4% chance to get an extra attack after dealing damage with your Sword.



Subtlety Talents (23 points)

Elusiveness - 1/5 point Reduces the cooldown of your Evasion, Vanish, and Blind abilities by 15 seconds.


Initiative - 5/5 points Gives you a 75% chance to add an additional combo point to your target when using your Ambush, Garrote, or Cheap Shot ability.


Ghostly Strike - 1/1 point A strike that deals 125% weapon damage and increases your chance to dodge by 15% for 7 seconds. Awards 1 combo point.


Improved Sap - 3/3 points Adds a 90% chance to return to stealth mode after using your Sap ability.


Improved Cheap Shot - 2/2 points Reduces the Energy cost of your Cheap Shot ability by 20.


Preparation - 1/1 point When activated, this ability immediately finishes the cooldown on your other Rogue abilities.

Alternate Subtlety Build

The point of this build is provide the most utility to a group running instances. The Main Talents to support this goal are MoD, Camo, Elusiveness, Improved Sap, Preparation and Hemorrhage. In order to boost damage output in support of the Rogue's role as a DPS member of a group, Malice/Lethality, Imp SnD, Imp SS, and Imp BS.

The standard opener would be Cheap Shot with the standard finishing move being Rupture.

Assassination Talents (15 points)

Malice - 5/5 points Increases your critical strike chance by 5%.

Murder - 2/2 points Increases your chance to hit while using your Sap, Ambush, Garrote, or Cheap Shot abilities by 5%.

Improved Slice and Dice - 3/3 points Increases the duration of your Slice and Dice ability by 45%.

Lethality - 5/5 points Increases the critical strike damage bonus of your Sinister Strike, Gouge, Backstab, Ambush, Ghostly Strike, or Hemorrhage ability by 30%.


Combat Talents (8 points)

Improved Sinister Strike - 2/2 points Reduces the Energy cost of your Sinister Strike ability by 5 Energy.

Lightning Reflexes - 3/5 points Increases your Dodge chance by 3%.

Improved Backstab - 3/3 points Increases the critical strike chance of your Backstab ability by 30%.


Subtlety Talents (28 points)
