This ability hones the natural defensive ability of an Amazon. If she stands still, she can predict incoming missile attacks and elude them before they reach her. Most Amazon people can do this if all of their thoughts to the task, but only a warrior trained in this skill can do this even whilst caught unaware.

- Checked last, after defense and blocking have failed.
- Animation may interrupt attacking and casting. [1]
- Can interrupt attack sequences, even those which shouldn't normally be interrupted like those of Strafe, Jab, Fend and Zeal: both single and consecutive attack sequences will stop at the point of interruption, but when attacking continuously the following sequence won't hit.
- Avoid animation length in frames can be reduced by Fanaticism, and increased by Holy Freeze, chill effectiveness and Slows Target (but not Decrepify). [2] [3] [4]
- Default length (zero acceleration) is 8 frames.
